On 12 June 2025, we held our second unconference event, Brum Connected Camp! The event brought together a vibrant mix of voices across Birmingham to explore the theme of Digital Evolution.

We were thrilled to welcome 27 participants that day. This includes colleagues from the 10 Neighbourhood Network Schemes (NNS), Birmingham City Council’s Prevention and Communities team, Community Digital Skills Network, Community Network Support Officer teams, BVSC, social prescribers, and digital service providers. It was an inspiring day of connecting, collaborating, and discussing how we can use digital to improve lives — both our own and those of the communities we support.
The day was shaped by attendees themselves, with breakout sessions covering topics such as:
- Practical uses and the impact of AI
- Digital inclusion and access
- Digital skills development and training opportunities
- Equity, inclusion, and community engagement
- Digital platforms and tools

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants praising the open format, diverse discussions, and inclusive atmosphere.
